In the summer of 2001 Sony came out with a game called the "The Yamanote
Line - Train Simulator Real". A few years before there was a surprisingly
popular game called Densha De Go ("let's go by train") that simulated
driving a train in Japan using the very crude graphics of the original
Playstation. When the PS2 came out with its DVD capability, Sony made a
new train simulator except this one uses real video footage. They have the
entire Yamanote line videoed from the point of view of the train engineer
and you can control the train. I've often thought about purchasing it just
for the memories of riding the Yamanote so many times.
