Sorn
I stumbled across this while looking something else in the online dictionary. It seems to me a few of my friends already know this one. Not that I ever mind—everyone’s welcome at Chez McQuillin.
sorn
v. i. [See Sorehon.] To obtrude one’s self on another for bed and board. [Scot.] —Sir W. Scott.
And looking up Sorehon, I found:
sorehonPosted by kuri at January 23, 2006 06:57 PM
noun [Corrupted from sojourn, Scot. soirne, sorn.] Formerly, in Ireland, a kind of servile tenure which subjected the tenant to maintain his chieftain gratuitously whenever he wished to indulge in a revel. —Spenser.

Yes and the next time I get drunk and miss my train and crash at Chez McQuillan I’d like ice in my water please.
